This Carbon Footprint Calculator project was coded using Java. By taking known values for tons of carbon produced by certain activities or the production of certain materials, the app will compile the information into a simple calculator that takes user input and returns the tons that person produced.
Modifications to the calculator are made to fit Burke as a school, using energy consumption, water consumption etc to get a general value per day, week and year.
Results are used to consider the impact of using various renewable energy sources and how each would diminish the energy consumption, which would work best.
